2025 Jeep Wagoneer S: Why Everyone’s Talking About This Electric SUV!

What’s going on Readers? So we’re standing next to a new Jeep tonight with a familiar name, but absolutely everything else about this is completely new. This is the Jeep Wagoneer S, the S signifying that this is the first all-electric Jeep with a sleek design and a 0 to 60 of only 3.4 seconds. Let’s not waste any time; let’s go ahead and take a first look at this futuristic new Jeep.

2025 Jeep Wagoneer S Exterior Design

Alright, so let’s start things off here with the exterior design. Now, this obviously is going to be a big departure. This is certainly not the Wrangler that you’ve owned for decades. It’s going to have a very sleek look, and that’s not just in the overall appearance.

It is also practical because this has a 0.29 coefficient of drag, so it’s very sleek and aerodynamic, which is going to help with that overall range figure. We’ll talk about that later, but in terms of the design, what you’ll notice is that we have this modern take on those signature Jeep ques.

Of course, every Jeep has got to have that nice SL seven-slat grill, but this is going to be basically entirely sealed off because this is an electric product.

Jeep actually uses lighting to kind of make the overall shape, so you’ll notice you have the light bar that runs across the front, and this can give you a sequential animation that runs all the way across the grill.

Speaking of lighting, we also have very sleek-looking LED headlights running right through there. That light bar continues for your daytime running light and turn signal indicator.

Down in the lower fascia, we do have LED fog lights integrated in and 6.4 inches of ground clearance, so this certainly has a little less ground clearance than your average Jeep does.

Now, moving on to our wheels, we have a 20-inch alloy wheel with a nice gloss black finish. I do want to point out that at launch, this is the launch edition, so this is going to be the only version that you can get originally. There will be more versions later on.

One of the things I do like about this look is the fact that they have matched the gloss black finish on the wheels to the wheel arches. They’re also kind of squared off to give it a little bit more of a chiseled appearance.

Side and Rear Design

Now, as we go back here, we’re going to notice we have Wagoneer branding. As far as our mirrors, these are going to be fully loaded with all the features on this launch edition. That’s going to include power folding, auto dimming, blind spot monitoring, and heating.

Here at the side, you are once again going to see that sleek shape take hold of the overall design language. It comes in at an overall length of 192.5 inches, which is about an inch shorter than something like a Grand Cherokee for reference.

In terms of design elements, you will notice that we do have a completely flush door handle design and a two-tone blacked-out roof as a nice sporty touch for this Wagoneer S.

Now, as we head around to the rear design of this vehicle, let me go ahead and go over to this side and let you get a good look at it. This, of course, is going to have a very unique overall shape to it, once again, a lot sleeker than some of the other Jeep products in the lineup.

Up here at the top, we have a fully blacked-out spoiler, and this allows air to flow completely through from the roof all the way down to help you get that coefficient of drag. We additionally have another little lip spoiler through here.

As far as our tail lights are concerned, these are going to be a full LED setup. We have some LED accenting, an LED reverse light, and turn signal indicator. I do want to point out that some of the panel gaps on this model are a pre-production unit, so be aware of that.

As we head down, you’ll notice that we have 4x branding and a really nice piano black lower fascia. As far as the tow rating, it’s going to be 3400 pounds.

Safety Systems

When it comes to your safety systems, you wouldn’t expect a very expensive and nice vehicle like this to not have your entire gamut.

Indeed, it is going to have all of your safety systems that you would expect, including a new active driving assistant. But guys, there’s a really cool interior that we need to go ahead and check out, so let’s dive into that.

Interior Overview

Alright, let’s go ahead and climb inside. Mason was mentioning earlier this does have flush mount door handles, so what you’ll do is just reach behind here and press that little sensor, and that will open up the door. Now that I have opened up the door, take a look at that cabin.

We have a really beautiful design. Compared to the exterior, the interior does have more influence from the regular Wagoneer model, but there are a lot of exclusive and futuristic touches. Let’s dig in. We’ll start with the seats themselves.

One of the things you’re noticing is probably the color right off the bat. We have an exclusive red interior. This is a beautiful look. I really like the way that this is both on the door trim as well as the seats and all around the cabin.

Seat and Material Details

Now, this is a leather-free interior called Sicily leatherette. Even though it is not real leather, it feels really nice. It’s super soft and supple, and I love the stitching details and color contrast piping. In terms of the seats themselves, we have a lot of adjustment, including a power thigh extension and massaging seats on the launch edition.

Let’s go ahead and climb inside. Now that we’ve climbed inside, let’s take a look at the rest of the cabin materials. Jeep has brought some innovative materials, many derived from recycled objects.

Let’s start over here on our door trim. We have leatherette over on this part of the armrest, textured aluminum trim that runs through the center section, and leatherette along the top part of the door trim.

Dashboard and Console

As we move to the top part of the dashboard, this again will all be finished in leatherette material. We have more of this textured aluminum running through the center section, all in one big, nice, seamless piece. Around the shifter and the center console area, we have a cool material made of zinc.

It’s kind of a stonelike material that feels really good and looks very nice. You probably saw the big power button right there. That’s how you will start up this model.

Just put your foot on the brake and press that button to fire it up. Like Mason was saying on the outside, this is a pre-production model, so not everything is going to be fully the way you will see it in the future. Let’s talk about some of the individual details.

Gauge Cluster and Steering Wheel

I want to start off with our gauge cluster. We’ve got the 12.3-inch gauge cluster. This plays a part of the larger system of screens. This model is going to come with 45 inches of overall display.

That’s absolutely phenomenal and gives basically everybody in the cabin access to some kind of display. This, of course, is fully customizable like it is in all the other Jeep products.

We also have a nice big head-up display as well. In terms of our steering wheel, we have a very nice and unique-looking steering wheel.

This is kind of squared off on the top and the bottom. It is a two-spoke design with leather on the airbag cover. The wheel itself is going to be power tilt and telescoping. I’m also noticing unique switch gear as well for this model.

Interior Storage

Let’s take a look at interior storage real fast. If I pop open our center console, you’re going to see a nice big console. It’s felt-lined as well. We have what looks to be the same kind of key fob as the other Jeep models and a wireless phone charging pad right there.

We have two cup holders and another key fob. In front of that, you have a secret spot. You see this little slot right here; it looks like there’s not much here, but I can push this display out of the way, and then boom, I have this huge hidden storage compartment, which is also felt-lined and has more USB ports.

Shifter and Climate Controls

As far as the shifter, we have this really cool metal rotary shifter for drive and reverse. When you go into reverse, it gives you the 360° camera system as you would expect. Turning our attention back to this display, when I let that back out, it brought in our climate controls.

This is how we can control the climate system. Not every part of this is going to be fully functional, but you get the gist. You’ll have your climate controls right through there. This is also where we can control various seat functions such as driver and passenger massage.

Infotainment and Sound System

Rising above, we come to another display, a 12.3-inch display running Uconnect 5.0. It has wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay abilities as well as integrated navigation.

On the side here, I have controls for your heated and ventilated seats as well as your heated steering wheel and a volume knob for the Macintosh sound system. This launch edition comes with an exclusive 19-speaker Macintosh sound system, providing a high-end audio experience with 1,200 watts of power.

Finishing Touches in the Front Cabin

Wrapping up the front of the cabin, we have an auto-dimming mirror, a digital camera rearview mirror giving you yet another display. Up top, we have a Homelink universal remote and a very nice suede headliner that goes all the way across to the back, giving you a premium feel and a very large panoramic sunroof.

Now, let’s talk about the rear seat area for this Wagoneer S. You’re probably curious as to what those exterior dimensions translate to in terms of interior space.

There’s a good amount of space, about 38 inches of legroom and about 37.5 inches of headroom, similar to something like a Grand Cherokee. Overall, it feels like I have a ton of legroom, though the headroom may be a little tight for those taller than I am. I’m 5’9″ for reference.

Rear Seat Features

As far as the features are concerned, there are a lot of standard features on this Wagoneer S. We have vents as standard, three-stage heated and ventilated seats standard on all Wagoneer S models, a household outlet, two charging USB-C ports, and a center armrest with two cup holders.

The door trim in the rear is made of the same nice materials, with leather on most of it and ambient lighting to give you a cool overall feel.

Let’s dive into the cargo dimensions of this Wagoneer S. It has a fully powered tailgate, and in terms of cargo dimensions, we’re looking at about 30 cubic feet of space behind the second row of seats. If we fold those seats down, which they do fold 60/40 split, you’ll have a maximum of around 61 cubic feet.

That’s about 10 cubic feet less than a Jeep Grand Cherokee and on par with other EVs on the market in terms of cargo capacity.

Cargo and Trunk Space

Of course, this is a very quick first look, so we don’t have time to get all of our measuring devices out, but we look forward to sampling this more extensively later on. But we’re not done yet because there is actually a frunk on this Wagoneer S.

Yes, you have a frunk with about 3 cubic feet of space. Not an incredible amount, but certainly enough for you to fit fast food and things like that.

Powertrain and Performance

Let’s talk a little bit about the powertrain and overall performance. This is Jeep’s first full electric product, featuring a 100.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

It pairs with a full-time active all-wheel-drive system made up of a dual electric motor setup. Total system power is extremely impressive, with 600 horsepower and 617 lb-ft of torque, good for a 0-60 time of about 3.4 seconds according to Jeep.

In terms of range, Jeep expects this to be over 300 miles for the launch edition. This uses a 400-volt electric architecture, so your DC fast charge rates will take you from 20 to 80% in about 23 minutes.

On level two charging, 5 to 80% can be achieved in about 6.8 hours, which is slower than some competitive electric vehicles on the market.

Pricing and Availability

Let’s talk about pricing and availability. Since we’re launching with one trim level, we’re starting at $71,995 before destination.

Jeep has confirmed that this vehicle will qualify for the tax credit, which will further reduce your price tag depending on your tax situation.

It’s a pretty expensive vehicle, but overall a good value for what you’re getting. Jeep says this will be available in Fall of 2024, so you have to wait around six more months if you want to get one of these Wagoneer S models.

Conclusion

If you’re looking to buy a Jeep Wagoneer S or any new vehicle, we encourage you to go to Car Confections. The reason you do that is that we have a tool on our website that will connect you with local car dealers in your area to get you the best price.

It also gives you access to invoice pricing information, a great tool for dealership negotiation. If you’d like to take advantage of that, the link is provided in our video description and there’s also a pinned comment at the top of this video.

That’s where we’ll leave off on this in-depth review of the all-new Jeep Wagoneer S. If you enjoyed reading this post or found it helpful in your purchasing decisions, we would really appreciate it if you hit that notification button from above.
