2025 Chevy Trailblazer: What We Know So Far

Chevy has recently unveiled the 2025 Chevy Trailblazer, featuring moderate changes. In this post, we’ll delve into all the updates coming to the model for the upcoming year.

Now, for 2024, the Trailblazer did go through a fairly major refresh with updated styling on the exterior, new wheel designs, an updated color palette, as well as an updated interior with new technology.

So for 2025, it’s going to be relatively unchanged and mostly a carryover, although there are a few key updates very similar to that of the Chevy tracks.

Starting out with the deletions, there are two exterior colors that are no longer available, and those are Copper Harbor Metallic as well as Fountain Blue.

Now, Copper Harbor was just introduced for 2024 so that is a single model year color, and Fountain Blue has been around for several years, but it is still a very nice bright blue, bright energetic color. It’s always a little bit unfortunate to see those colors go away, but this is also the case for the 2025 model year Chevy tracks.

New Features

One notable addition to the 2025 Trailblazer is the introduction of Marina Blue Metallic, a fresh exterior color choice. This addition comes as Chevy removes one blue color from the lineup, ensuring a dynamic range of options for consumers.

Engine Update

Under the hood, the 2025 Chevy Trailblazer retains its familiar powertrain options. Buyers can choose between a 1.2-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine generating 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, or a 1.3-liter 3-cylinder engine delivering 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque.

Front-wheel drive models utilize a CVT transmission, while all-wheel drive variants come equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Deletions and Retentions

Two exterior colors bid farewell in the 2025 Trailblazer: Copper Harbor Metallic and Fountain Blue. Copper Harbor, introduced just in 2024, becomes a short-lived option.

Fountain Blue, a long-standing vibrant hue, also exits the lineup. Additionally, the Summit White roof option with the J32 order code is discontinued.

Though specifics on the Summit White roof option’s replacement remain unclear, it’s suggested that a black roof option might be available instead.

Recent data from Chevy reveals a notable uptick in pricing for the 2024 model year refresh. The base LS now starts at $24,395, marking a $1,000 increase from its previous iteration.

This adjustment strategically positions the Trailblazer’s trim lineup to complement the pricing tiers of its sibling, the Trax.

Technological Advancements

Building upon its predecessor, the 2025 Trailblazer inherits technological enhancements from the Trax, including an 8-inch digital instrument cluster option and an 11-inch touchscreen display. These features elevate the driving experience, offering convenience and connectivity on the road.

Release Date

The 2025 Trailblazer is expected to hit the market around December 2024 and should be available at all dealerships by February 2025. However, we’ll have to wait for the official announcement from Chevy to confirm. So, stay tuned for updates!
