Hello Readers, I’ve got some electrifying news to share today! The iconic Jeep Gladiator is getting a plug-in hybrid option for 2025. If you’ve been dreaming of a Wrangler pickup with a green twist, the wait is almost over!

For those who might not know, the Gladiator offers the rugged off-road capability of the Wrangler but in a super convenient pickup truck format. It’s perfect for conquering trails and hauling gear, all while staying true to Jeep’s adventurous spirit.
So, what can we expect under the hood? Borrowing from its Wrangler sibling, the Gladiator 4xe will likely pack a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor and a battery pack. This setup is estimated to deliver a combined output of 375 horsepower and a whopping 470 lb-ft of torque. Pretty impressive, right?
Now, let’s talk about the electric range. While official numbers haven’t been released yet, the Wrangler 4xe manages 22 miles on electric power alone, and the Grand Cherokee 4xe extends that to 26 miles. I’m guessing the Gladiator 4xe will land somewhere in the high teens or low twenties, which means you can handle city commutes with minimal gas consumption.
Towing capacity specifics are still under wraps, but the Gladiator 4xe should handle most midsize truck duties. The Wrangler 4xe can tow 3,500 lbs, while the Grand Cherokee 4xe can handle up to 6,000 lbs. I expect the Gladiator 4xe to fit comfortably within that range.
As for pricing, details haven’t been announced yet. Considering the Wrangler 4xe adds a $10,000 premium over the standard model, we can expect the Gladiator 4xe to start somewhere north of $50,000.
So, is the 2025 Jeep Gladiator 4xe the ultimate off-road electric truck? We’ll have to wait and see, but it definitely brings some exciting possibilities to the adventure truck market.
I’m really excited to see how this all pans out and will be keeping a close eye on any updates. What do you think about the Gladiator 4xe? Would you consider an electric pickup for your next off-road adventure? Let me know in the comments below!
