In the EQS450+, power is derived from a single motor located on the rear axle, generating a respectable 335 horsepower and 419 pound-feet of torque. This configuration provides ample acceleration and responsiveness, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable driving experience.

Stepping up to the EQS450 4Matic, an additional electric motor is added to the front axle, resulting in all-wheel drive capability.

Despite maintaining the same combined horsepower as the EQS450+, torque increases significantly to 590 pound-feet, enhancing traction and control in various driving conditions.

At the top of the lineup, the EQS580 4Matic boasts a dual-motor configuration, delivering a combined output of 516 horsepower and an impressive 611 pound-feet of torque.

This setup not only offers exhilarating performance but also maintains the luxury and refinement expected from a Mercedes-Benz flagship sedan.

Each EQS model is equipped with an adaptive air suspension system and wheels ranging from 19 to 21 inches, ensuring a comfortable and composed ride.

Additionally, standard rear-axle steering enhances maneuverability, especially in tight spaces, while increasing stability at higher speeds.

2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS Range & Battery

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS comes with a lithium-ion battery pack that has a usable capacity of 118.0 kWh, which is bigger than before. This means the car can go farther on a single charge, with Mercedes estimating an 11 percent increase in driving range. For example, the EQS450+ model could potentially travel up to 390 miles on one charge.

When it comes to charging, the EQS is equipped with fast-charging capability of up to 200 kW. This means that the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes, which is pretty quick. If you’re using a 240-volt Level 2 charger, it’ll take about 11.5 hours to fully charge the battery from 10 percent.

During tests, the EQS580 model with the older, smaller battery pack managed an impressive 350 miles of range on a highway test at 75 mph. With the larger battery pack in the 2025 model, we can expect even better range, although specific test results for the updated model are not available yet.
