Rivian, the electric vehicle company, has an exciting deal this April. They’re giving away free matte finish paint protection film for certain versions of their R1T pickup truck and R1S SUV.
This protective film, called XPEL Stealth, is tough against the sun and can fix small scratches by itself. Usually, this film keeps cars shiny, but Rivian chose a cool matte look for this offer.
Applying the film is easy – no need to take off any parts. It’s wrapped neatly around edges for a seamless finish.
Initially, Rivian said this offer was for both the R1T and R1S, but for now, it’s only shown for the R1T online.
This move by Rivian is unique. Most companies offer this kind of protection after you buy the car, but Rivian’s doing it upfront. Ford did something similar for their Mustangs, but it was expensive.
Rivian’s also making it easier to charge their cars. They’re sending out adapters so their EVs can use Tesla Supercharger stations across North America.
And there’s more to look forward to from Rivian – they recently unveiled new models like the R2 SUV and R3 hot hatches. The R2 will be made in Illinois starting in 2026.
