For those eyeing a new BMW sedan but finding the 3 Series out of reach price-wise, the 2 Series Gran Coupe offers a compelling alternative. Set for its second generation, the F74 model is confirmed for release later this year, with a world premiere scheduled for fall and deliveries expected in spring 2025.
Unlike rivals, BMW isn’t electrifying the 2 Series Gran Coupe, sticking with gasoline and diesel options. In the US, expect a gasoline-only lineup with models likely dropping the “i” prefix.
Rumors suggest BMW aims to elevate the 2 Series Gran Coupe with better materials and enhanced features, including an illuminated kidney grille, massaging seats, and improved interior lighting.
The range-topping M235 variant will receive additional M visual enhancements and possibly optional M Compound brakes.
