I’m Andrew and today we are discussing 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ. I’m here in New York City to take a look at the all-new 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, and it’s happening right there in that studio. It is hiding right there.
The Reveal
So, I’m in New York City for the reveal of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, the all-electric Escalade. I know it’s crazy. Now, check this out. Cadillac already has the Lyriq and the Celestiq, that’s spelled l-y-r-i-q and c-e-l-e-s-t-i-q, but it’s strange why they didn’t do Escalade.

Performance Stats
So right off the bat, let’s talk about some crazy stats. It makes up to 750 horsepower in Velocity Max mode and 785 pound-feet of torque. It does 0-60 miles in less than five seconds and can tow 8,000 pounds. And if you need to charge it quick, you can add a hundred miles in 10 minutes.
Now, you have all these fancy lights and beautiful presentations, so obviously, it adds the effect, but this thing is actually gorgeous in the front. Take a look at these vertical light strips and this little light show that’s going on in the front.
It’s similar to the Lyriq where you have two layers with the outer layer serving as the daytime running lights and the inner layer being the primary forward lights. This front end is monstrous, but it’s on a truck that’s all electric that gives you 450 miles of range. That is wild and crazy to think something so large does something like this.
Exterior Features
Now, when looking at this Escalade in person, these LED vertical light bars really widen out the front end, and you’ll notice these nine individual LEDs. On the light show, they start at the top and work themselves downward. In the center of the Escalade logo, when you look down from there, you’ll see there’s an individual camera and then a lot of piano blacks.
That is because this is a sport trim. There are two trims initially available and two more to be added. From here, we’re going to jump directly to the interior, and we’ll get back to the front in a second, but take a look at this pillar-to-pillar curved 55-inch total diagonal LED display.
This thing is wild. I can’t even describe it in person; it is crazy to see. Look at the quality used here. At the top, you have leather with stitching. Then from there, you have a backlit LED with heated and cooled seats, but not only heated on your back, heated on your bum and back as well.
Of course, you do have memory seat, and then moving from there, you have more leather, wood, and just really good touches. And then take a look at this AKG 40-speaker sound system. Now, these 40 speakers are hiding everywhere, including in the headrest.
You have two of them. There are speakers everywhere. I mean, there’s 40, so they got to be hiding somewhere.
Interior Highlights
But let’s get back to the meat and potatoes: this 55-inch screen. 20 inches is for the passenger. It is polarized so they can still see it. Also, it is touchscreen, so you have the touchscreen for the passenger and the touchscreen for the driver, but right in the center of the 55-inch screen, not on the actual driver’s display.
Well, that makes sense because nobody’s really touching the driver’s display. Now, if you’re wondering why Cadillac has another screen under the 55-inch screen, that’s really for your controls.
You can adjust your drive modes, even opening your doors. Yup, if you get the top trim, you can open and close the door by hitting a button. Pure luxury, I love it.
Now, on that center console, you do have two cup holders and a wireless charger, but underneath it, you have more storage and an embroidery here that you can pick in different colors. Take a look at these seats and the quality of the material and also how it’s wrapped.
It’s very sporty for an Escalade, not something new. Now, if I had to critique one thing about the Escalade, it’s the steering wheel. Now, it does have Super Cruise. You can have 400,000 miles of highway that it’ll drive for you, which is awesome, but the steering wheel itself is not sporty whatsoever.
It’s kind of retro, which is kind of weird for something that looks so modern in 2025 if you ask me.
Practical Features
Now, let’s get back to the outside and show you how much room you have under the front trunk. Enough to fit two golf club bags. Yep, this Escalade can hold two golf club bags. It is long enough; you have more than enough depth for that.
Now, moving down from there, on the front fender, you do have a little strip with the Cadillac badge on it, and then if your eyes feast lower, you will see you do have retractable side steps. And then back up, of course, you have 360 cameras.
Obviously, this is a 2025 model year. This is not 1995. But you will see how the black trim flows and really gives the side look a really dynamic style. And with the wheels, you have 24-inch wheels. They are black and they are beautiful. Take a look at them in closer detail.
Now, what you don’t notice at first glance is how the trim is flushed to the windows. It drops drag coefficiency as well as the rear canards by 15% from the last generation. And that makes sense because this is an EV, an all-EV Escalade. I’m still trying to wrap my head around that.
Design and Aerodynamics
Now, because this is an EV and drag coefficiency is important, they couldn’t make this thing a box in the back. They did have to slope it forward, just like the Lyriq.
However, I like this a lot better than the rear of the Lyriq. This is not as ostentatious or poppy in your face. This is a really clean look, especially when you have a split gate. Now, with two lights, one at the top and one at the bottom.
I really do like the back end of this Escalade a lot better than the Lyriq, in my opinion. When you stand in the rear of the car, you can see how that black roof comes all the way back and this cool little upper third brake light that has a pulse design to it. That’s pretty funky.
Now, this does look like the Celestiq when you look at those rear tail lights. That is definitely a Celestiq piece to the tenth power. Now, take a close look at this rear tail light where it appears to look like piano keys, and then you have a solid red LED bar next to it.
To the right of that, you have the Escalade badge with the IQ right underneath, and then a monochromatic Cadillac badge in the middle. And then underneath that, you will see multiple cameras. That is obviously for a rear-view mirror, your rear camera.
Then up from there, you have the 1000 E4 badging which designates big power. And if you’re wondering if this thing can tow, yes, it can tow eight thousand pounds.
Rear Passenger Comfort
Cool, but the highlight here is really the executive seats in the back seat. These individual heated, cooled, and massage seats are beautiful.
Look at the quality here. Again, Cadillac has nailed it. And the center touch screen also does the same features as the stuff in the front. You have two cup holders and, of course, two wireless chargers. I love that. Thank you, Cadillac.
Take a look at this massive, massive sunroof or moon roof, depending where you live. Do you want to know another party trick about these seats? Yup, there are two speakers in the headrest on each of them as well.

They cannot produce them fast enough, and I’ve heard of people waiting up to 10 years to get their hands on one, which is nuts.
I don’t know who’s gonna wait that long, but people are going to wait longer for this thing, I guarantee it. I want to give a big shout out to Cadillac for bringing me here to New York to touch, feel, and look at this Escalade IQ.
Thanks again for reading, and we’ll catch you on the next one, guys. I’m in New York City to take a look at the 2025 Cadillac Escalade all-electric, not this Cadillac Escalade, this Cadillac Escalade.
